Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (State of California).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients (up to 50 lbs) with assistance when necessary.
- Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
