Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent bedsores.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: We welcome candidates with zero healthcare experience who are willing to learn.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred, but we will assist in obtaining this.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a desire to help others.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Excellent communication skills.
