Responsibilities
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Collaborate with RNs and LPNs to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current, active State of Michigan CNA certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Physical stamina to lift, move, and assist patients as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for facility travel if required).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
