Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting) while maintaining a respectful and caring demeanor.
- Monitor Patient Status: Observe and report any changes in patient condition, vital signs, or behavior to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Assist with Mobility: Safely assist patients in transferring, walking, and positioning to prevent falls and promote mobility.
- Administer Basic Treatments: Perform basic nursing procedures such as taking blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations according to established protocols.
- Maintain a Clean Environment: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, organized, and sanitized to prevent infection.
- Document Care: Accurately record patient care activities and information in electronic medical records (EMR) in a timely and thorough manner.
- Communicate with Team: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Washington State CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: No prior experience required; we provide comprehensive training for entry-level candidates.
- CPR/First Aid: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and a desire to help others are essential.
