Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide compassionate support with bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding patients to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Vital Signs & Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respirations) and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Patient Mobility Support: Assist patients with safe transfers using wheelchairs, walkers, or Hoyer lifts; help with ambulation to prevent falls and injuries.
- Housekeeping & Hygiene: Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by emptying bedpans, changing linens, and sanitizing medical equipment.
- Communication & Documentation: Effectively communicate patient needs to the nursing team and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient care records.
- Companionship: Offer emotional support and engage in conversation to enhance the quality of life for our residents and patients.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required. Current CNA certification is a plus but not mandatory for this entry-level position.
- Experience: No prior healthcare experience required. We value attitude, aptitude, and a strong work ethic over experience.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks including bending and reaching.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Background: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
