Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and timely.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities in electronic medical records (EMR) promptly.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always required for exceptional candidates.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Physical stamina to perform standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Reliable transportation and professional appearance.
