Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report changes in patient conditions, including vital signs and behavioral changes, to the nursing staff promptly.
- Assist with Daily Living Activities: Provide compassionate assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
- Medication Management: Accurately assist with medication administration under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and maintain accurate medication records.
- Patient Communication: Act as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team, answering questions and providing emotional support.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and visitors at all times.
- Documentation: Complete and update patient charts and records in a timely and accurate manner using our electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- Training: Completion of an accredited CNA training program.
- CPR Certification: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as required; ability to stand for extended periods.
