Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure maximum safety and comfort.
- Communicate patient changes, symptoms, and concerns to registered nurses and physicians in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and visitors.
- Administer prescribed medications as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of Florida.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic Arrhythmia (BLS) certifications required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients safely (up to 50lbs).
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
