Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring them safely to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary requirements and preferences.
- Document patient care activities and report any changes in condition or concerns to the charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Texas required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred).
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the shift.
