Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual patient intakes, vitals assessment, and history taking via secure video platforms.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during remote telehealth visits.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Schedule appointments, referrals, and follow-up appointments for patients.
- Provide patient education and medication instructions via phone or secure messaging.
- Process insurance authorizations and handle patient inquiries efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or telehealth setting preferred.
- Proficient in electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth).
- Strong computer literacy and typing skills.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must be located in the San Antonio, TX area for on-site collaboration (when required) or reliable high-speed internet for remote work.
