Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance, to ensure comfort and hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring them safely from beds to wheelchairs or using walkers as needed.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Nevada.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients improve their quality of life.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
