Responsibilities
- Patient Assistance: Provide personal care to patients including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and safe in their environment.
- Communication: Report patient changes in condition, behavior, or mood to the nursing staff promptly.
- Assistance with Meals: Aid patients with feeding as needed and ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
- Documentation: Accurately complete patient care logs and incident reports.
- Transportation: Assist with transporting patients to and from activities or medical appointments.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior experience required. Prior experience in a caregiving role is a plus but not mandatory.
- Training: Must be willing to complete state-required CNA training and certification upon hire.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs. Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Soft Skills: Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Legal: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
