Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report changes in patient conditions, such as physical, mental, and emotional changes, to the nursing staff.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide personal care assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Record Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Medication Support: Assist with medication administration as directed by licensed nurses, ensuring patients receive their prescribed treatments.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic care.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients to prevent infections and accidents.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Current state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant required.
- License: Active Oklahoma CNA license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred but not always required for immediate hire candidates.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine desire to help others and provide high-quality patient care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
