Job Summary:
In this role, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient health, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating as needed.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Patient Assistance: Support patients with mobility, transferring, and positioning to prevent falls and injuries.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status and changes to the nursing staff and family members.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients remain clean, comfortable, and dignified at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current CNA certification or enrollment in a CNA training program (completion required within 6 months).
- Experience: No prior healthcare experience required. We value attitude and aptitude over experience.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; ability to stand for long periods.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- License: Valid NC Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
