Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient condition accurately and timely.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and patients' families.
- Document all care activities and changes in patient status in the electronic health record.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license in the State of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients and stand for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.
