Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment coordination
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient observations and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response protocols
- Mentor new nursing staff and contribute to team-based performance reviews
Qualifications
- Active Arizona RN license (or compact state license with quick AZ application)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred for pediatric roles)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in relevant specialty
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC experience preferred)
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
