Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration) accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Mobility Support: Provide assistance with ambulation, transfers, and positioning to prevent falls and ensure patient safety.
- Hygiene & Nutrition: Ensure patients remain clean, well-groomed, and properly nourished by assisting with meal times and personal hygiene routines.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, charts, and incident reports as required by facility protocols.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes, concerns, and needs to the nursing staff and interdisciplinary team.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all facility safety policies, infection control procedures, and OSHA regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid California State CNA License.
- CPR/BLS: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, nursing home, or assisted living facility preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and a strong desire to help patients in need.
