Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient status and care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Document all care activities and patient interactions in accordance with facility policies.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (American Heart Association).
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting (1 year preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
