Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to the RN or charge nurse immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established care plans.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients and staff.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide holistic patient care.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergencies during your shift.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment up to 50 lbs.
