About the Role:
As a CNA on our weekend team, you will provide direct care to patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with our nursing staff to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring, and walking using proper body mechanics.
- Feed patients according to dietary restrictions and care plans.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the nursing supervisor.
- Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Kansas required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Ability to work weekends (Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Sunday) and holidays.
- Strong compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient transfers.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
