Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist registered nurses with medication administration and wound care.
- Implement patient safety protocols and report changes in patient condition immediately.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Oregon State CNA license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
