Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and patients' families to ensure holistic care.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergency situations following established protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and active North Carolina CNA License (required).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (required).
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as required.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients (up to 50 lbs) safely.
