Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Accurately document patient histories and vital signs in EMR systems
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Perform diagnostic tests including EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Coordinate patient education and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant certification or CMA/MA/RMA credential
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Strong communication and patient relationship skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
