Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to patients, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any significant changes to the Registered Nurse (RN) immediately.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized patient environment in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN, strictly following safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and active Virginia CNA License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the job description.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment.
