Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and document vital signs while reporting changes to nursing staff
- Delight patients with companionship and emotional support during care
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met
- Maintain clean, safe environments following strict infection control protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create personalized care plans
- Transport patients safely within facility for appointments and activities
Qualifications
- Active Michigan CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year recent long-term care or hospital experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk 8+ hours daily
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in electronic health record documentation
- Passionate about geriatric care with empathy-driven approach
- Must clear comprehensive background check and drug screening
