Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Provide mobility support and transfer assistance using proper techniques
- Administer medications under supervision as per care plans
- Document patient care accurately and maintain confidential records
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
- Support emotional well-being through companionship and active listening
Qualifications
- Current California CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year experience in home care or long-term facility
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Clear TB test and background check
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Compassionate demeanor with commitment to patient dignity
- Reliable transportation and valid California driver's license
