Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Document patient care services in medical records in an accurate and timely manner.
- Move patients using proper body mechanics to prevent injury to self and patient.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests for assistance.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
