Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the charge nurse.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required and must be in good standing with the state board.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Compassionate demeanor with a willingness to learn and grow in a healthcare setting.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
