Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with medication administration under nurse supervision
- Support residents with daily living activities and nutritional needs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans
- Respond promptly to resident needs and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year experience in long-term care or assisted living
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays
- Valid Texas driver's license (if transporting residents)
- Pass background check and drug screening
