Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration)
- Assist patients with mobility, positioning, and transfers using proper techniques
- Document patient observations and care activities accurately in EMR systems
- Collaborate with RNs and LPNs to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain clean, organized patient environments and supply inventory
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families
Qualifications
- Current Georgia CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year hospital or acute care experience required
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Proficient in electronic medical record documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Background check and drug screen required
