Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry and meal prep
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs per care plans
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Offer companionship through conversation, games, and daily activities
- Maintain detailed care logs and report health changes promptly
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience required
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Compassionate personality with patience and strong communication skills
- Basic knowledge of senior care protocols and safety procedures
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
