Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding clients who have dietary restrictions.
- Provide medication reminders and ensure clients take their prescribed medications on time.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, and social activities as needed.
- Monitor and report any changes in a client's physical or emotional condition to the Care Manager.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to combat loneliness and improve mental well-being.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation (essential for client transport).
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, non-judgmental demeanor.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Previous home health or caregiving experience is a plus but not mandatory.
