Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Provide compassionate personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance as needed.
- Medication Management: Assist clients with medication reminders and ensure they take their prescriptions on time.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious, appetizing meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversation, recreational activities, and light exercise to promote mental well-being.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, and social events as required.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical or mental condition to the care coordinator.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Required; completion of a CNA or Home Health Aide training program is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License: Must be willing and able to drive clients to appointments and errands.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and dedicated to providing the highest standard of care.
- First Aid/CPR Certification: Preferred but not mandatory (we offer training).
