Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management under supervision.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance quality of life.
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff immediately.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid Louisiana Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
