Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications on time and assist with medication administration as per care plans.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and social activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings.
- Communication: Keep the care team and family members informed regarding the client's daily status and any changes in condition.
- Safety Monitoring: Observe and report any safety hazards or changes in the client's behavior to the supervising nurse or manager.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience as a CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide is preferred but not always required for compassionate candidates.
- License: Current CPR/First Aid certification and valid driver's license (if driving clients).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
