Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Provide medication reminders and ensure proper adherence to prescribed schedules.
- Offer companionship and engage in conversation to reduce isolation and loneliness.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing to maintain a safe environment.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, or errands as needed.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical or emotional condition to the supervising nurse or family.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training available if not certified).
- Previous experience as a CNA, HHA, or Caregiver is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and a warm, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
