Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary restrictions.
- Provide medication reminders and ensure clients adhere to their prescribed medication schedules.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, and community outings.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry services to maintain a safe, clean living environment.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to improve the client's mental and emotional well-being.
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the care coordinator immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; CNA or HHA certification is preferred but not always mandatory for compassionate caregivers.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Prior experience in senior care or home health is a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly desirable.
