Responsibilities

  • Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Medication Management: Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration as directed by the client's physician.
  • Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious, client-appropriate meals according to dietary restrictions.
  • Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, recreational activities, and outings to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
  • Vital Signs: Monitor and report changes in client health status, mood, or behavior to the case manager or family members.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Prior experience as a CNA, PCA, Home Health Aide, or personal caregiver is preferred but not required.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • License: Valid Ohio driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Certification: Current CPR and First Aid certification is highly preferred.
  • Character: Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen actively.
  • Reliability: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
