Responsibilities
- Provide personalized companionship and emotional support to elderly clients
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Maintain detailed care logs and communicate with family members
- Implement specialized care plans for clients with dementia or chronic conditions
- Ensure safe home environment through fall prevention and hazard removal
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience required
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass thorough background check and drug screening
- Strong understanding of senior care best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation to client locations across Houston
- Compassionate demeanor with genuine desire to serve elderly population
