Responsibilities
- Provide personalized companionship and emotional support to elderly clients
- Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, meal preparation)
- Monitor vital signs and report health changes to care coordinators
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social outings
- Administer medications as prescribed and maintain care logs
- Create safe, stimulating environments for cognitively impaired clients
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Clear background check and drug screening
- Spanish fluency highly preferred
- Alzheimer's/dementia care certification a plus
- Positive attitude and patience working with seniors
