Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care including meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility assistance
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life
- Monitor vital signs and report health changes to care coordinators
- Assist with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, and light housekeeping
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Maintain detailed care records and follow individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience required
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background checks and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly clients
- Reliable transportation to client locations throughout New Orleans
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
