Responsibilities
- Provide personalized companionship and emotional support to elderly clients
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Monitor client health status and report changes to care coordinator
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Administer medications according to care plan protocols
- Maintain detailed care documentation and client records
- Implement customized care plans developed by RN supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience (home health aide preferred)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid New York State driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Background clearance and TB test clearance
- Compassion, patience, and strong problem-solving abilities
