Responsibilities
- Provide personalized companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Monitor vital signs and report health changes to care coordinators
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Administer medications as per care plans and protocols
- Maintain detailed care logs and update client records
- Implement fall prevention and safety measures in client homes
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- Valid NJ Driver's License and reliable transportation
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with dementia/Alzheimer's patients preferred
