As a Caregiver, you will be a vital link in our clients' daily lives, providing assistance and companionship in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and monitor for any adverse reactions or side effects.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious, client-appropriate meals based on dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Mobility Support: Help clients move around safely, including transferring from bed to wheelchair or walking assistance.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, and provide emotional support to alleviate loneliness and depression.
- Household Assistance: Light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and cleaning to maintain a safe and sanitary living environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily care activities and client health changes.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CA CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA (Home Health Aide) certification is preferred but not always required for entry-level positions.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or geriatric nursing is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods as needed.
- CPR/First Aid: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly desirable.
- Reliability: Strong commitment to punctuality, dependability, and professional standards.
