Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication management
- Provide companionship and emotional support through meaningful interactions and engagement
- Monitor client health status and report changes to healthcare professionals
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain safe living environments
- Implement personalized care plans with attention to individual preferences
- Document care activities and maintain accurate client records
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and agency safety protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience or CNA/HHA certification
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and health screening
- Strong interpersonal skills with empathy and patience
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical care tasks
