Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks and maintain safe environments
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Document care activities and maintain accurate patient records
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional home health or caregiver experience
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification and current driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical care tasks
- Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- DC Health Worker Registry clearance mandatory
