Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Light housekeeping tasks to maintain safe living environments
- Document client progress and care activities accurately
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Follow established care plans and agency protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Home Health Aide or caregiver
- Current CPR/First Aid certification required
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check and TB screening
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly/disabled clients
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform light housekeeping
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of Sacramento area healthcare resources preferred
