Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and recreational activities.
- Monitor client health and report any changes in physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary requirements.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry services as needed to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social activities.
- Administer medication reminders as directed by the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- Current Maryland Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or valid CNA license.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable personal transportation.
- CPR and Basic First Aid certification preferred (training provided if needed).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a healthcare team.
