Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Medication Management: Provide timely medication reminders and document administration accurately.
- Household Support: Prepare nutritious meals, assist with light housekeeping, and laundry as needed.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, read to clients, and provide emotional support to reduce isolation.
- Health Monitoring: Monitor client well-being, report changes in condition to supervisors, and document daily logs.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings using personal vehicle.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or PCA (Patient Care Assistant) certification is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Licensure: Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, geriatric care, or hospitality is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong empathy, patience, and excellent verbal communication skills.
- Background: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
