Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes in physical or mental condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to improve the client's quality of life.
- Administer medication as directed by the supervising nurse and document all care activities accurately.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and run errands as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Valid Tennessee driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Previous experience in home care or healthcare assistance is preferred but not required.
